Nice video but if you want to know how to defend yourself in street do not choose aikido, some club will teach you moves for real fight but not all of them, dont forget that aikido is an art, if you wanna defend yourself just try krav maga, it's vicious and bastard, but you'll be fine in most case in a fight when you just know where to hit and how.

@charlie8449 Thanks for the comment but I already know how to defend my self.This techinques helped me a lot in real fight and in real extreme situations.You are right that Aikido is an art but Real Aikido is a little bit different.Real Aikido is for Street situations,for policemen,for guards and etc.By the way with this martial art was used to train a lot of Special forces and Professional Bpdyguards for 5 Presidents.anyway thanks for your opinion.

@mikehashorns Thanks for the question.yes.I have been attacked but I didn't react like in this video.this is only a demonstration.in real life it is different.I can't explain with words but the result was execellent for me.Real Aikido saved me several times.

i have a question, im starting this next week, but like, in all the videos ive seen, (obviously they are faked just to show you the technique) but they are always between 2 people that know the art. What happens when a random guy throws wildly with a knife or a broken bottle? Basically is aikido effective for the street? Krav maga is, and eventually i will learn both styles, but i want to start with aikido.

@motley0crue12 It is just a demonstration but in real life Real Aikido is wild and effective than we showed in this video.and if random guy attacks he will not fall like this.he will fall with pain.not like professional.and if you want to do the technique in real situations you must have good experinece.Real Aikido saved my life in hard situations.I know what it means.thanks.

@brooder9000 it all depends on how you train your body. My sensai is 4'11 or 5' I'm 5'4 and outweigh her. When we train I charge at her with all my energy and strength and she's able to use it against me with the way she uses her body. Do you train in Aikido?
