Ableton Live 7 remix. Bloc party with Grandmaster Flash

This is a little techno remix i did yesterday. The two songs i mashedup are: Mercury by Bloc Party and The Message by Grandmaster Flash. I used Ableton Live Lite 7 (the limit on audio effects suck but i cant afford the full version yet) and thats it. im gonna start using my monome 40h as a controller though.

the video is off sync cause i used my "i sight" just to capture the ableton set and added the mp3 separately... i didnt really feel like matching them up.

Is there any way to import a Mp3 song from say itunes in to live lite 7 and record yourself playing to it? I cannot figure out how to import a song into Abletone live lite 7

fl studio works like midi. Live is just working with real midi and normal audio sounds. You cant match them. I got an yamaha psr s900 so i can create my beats. I mix my beats, voices and sound effects with live.

Fl studio isnt a good programm to create beats. There are missing a lot of important settings. Its just for fun. I make music like that about 10 years. I cant understand why all the people says that fl is a proffessional programm??? (im from germany, maybe my english is wrong)

so true. I started with cakewalk and cube base, but Im must say, the tools offered by Ableton are the best!!! It was a challenge to make electronica and house on here at first, but after learning some tutorials, I'm still amazed at the things I have yet to learn, and I don't think one could ever find the limits of Ableton, it's too huge!!!

Ablton Rocks I started with FL and found it hard to get to grips with ableton, so I subscribed to SonicAcademy and started doing their Tutorials and learnt ableton. Once you get to grips with it you can work so quickly and effortlessy. I am an Ableton Fan Boy oh yeeees (oh please check out my remixes on my channel, all done in Ableton)
