  • There might be something to this. I was fanatically Catholic and I think I have a tendency towards narcissism, paranoia, schizoid perception, very withdrawn autistic traits, and hyper sensitivity. Now, being atheist, I find using Occam's Razor and just being scientific in my thinking helps to keep my tendencies from becoming a disorder.

  • @ThisWorldWillBeMine who says it's not a disorder?

  • If it's not a disorder then why do people have PROBLEMS with it? What the hell is your reasoning here?

  • I reckon loads of mad Christian have AS. It can predispose you to obsession, and also comfort in solid rules. And it doesn't "boost your intelligence" it just makes you intelligent in some ways but not others, and not all the time either. It is autism, after all.

  • This is very much true. I happen to have Asperger's and am an atheist, but that is because I only have it mildly. My Asperger's isn't as bad as most other people I know with it, but it is still very noticeable in everyday life.

  • @mslewp It does a lot more than that. I have it as well (mildly).

  • @Hyperplaterine maths and some physics have proofs, a term reserved for an equation or formula that when tested can be proven. Other sciences like biology, geology, astronomy, and especially psychology can only go so far as theory. a peer review tested set of predictors that fits all available data. If any thing is found that breaks the predictions of the theory it is reworked to try to figure if it can fit this new phenomenon without special pleading, if it can't its scraped. As for FVX dick

  • @mslewp woosh
