  • With a seated position, your allowing complete isolation in your anterior deltoids.. if you did these standing you'd probably be swinging and begin to activate different muscle groups.

  • Yes .. while seated you isolate the deltoids ... while standing you are able to "steal" by moving you upperbody front and back using lower back muscles

  • no diff

  • i usually do these against a wall to prevent any swinging motion with my body, then i keep the ends of the dumbells facing eachother and just lift them keeping my palms down the whole time.... does the twist do anything beneficial or should i be alright?

  • not realy just more comftable seated

  • It would probably put you off balance standing up if you put the weight out infront of you. Being seated will keep your back straight and firm so you cannot swing.
