yea you could...but difference is that if you win the world series in season mode, the whole thing is done..but if you play on franchise mode..u will keep goin after season one

Of course you guys won. Look at who's on your team LOL Try winning a championship not doing a draft and picking a team like the Pirates haha. That's really tough to do and I've only done it once, but it was with the Dbacks.
