@mrbluesky4ever ....agreed. I have never rated Sammy as a vocalist. I thought he was shit in Montrose and VH. The worst singer ever, a proper chancer!

@TheHockeyCentral Relisten to it. There's no way that Sammy and Mike should be singing this song. Perhaps everyone who was at the show was tonedeafened by the end of the set. I don't know....I just think they should dump this song since they can't sing it .

@mrbluesky4ever Satch was in Deep Purple for christ's sake. I know he didn't write this tune but I think there's a reason they chose.
And their version rocked.

As much as I've enjoyed the music of Satch, Van Hager, RHCP over the years, they should have left this out of the set. I won't say they butchered it but I will suggest that you do a quick search for Deep Purple Highway Star Live on youtube and you can watch the masters in action. This is a pale noisy replication of a classic song and I'm sure there's more than a handful of bands out there doing this song much better than Chickenfoot covered it.
