Living St. Louis producer Angela Antkowiak meets a group of skateboarders who have cleaned up an abandoned stretch under the Kingshighway bridge and turned it into a skatepark which has gained them the admiration of community and business leaders.
Wut? No comments yet? Thanks, Angela, for taking the time to show a positive story about skateboarding.
Thanks also to Kyle for building that first little ledge under the bridge, to everyone else who's helped out, and of course to the guys at Burnside and other DIY skate spots for helping to pave the way.
To get involved, check out khvt.org, or just come by the bridge sometime. Strong backs and good attitudes are always welcome!
Just saw this. I love it! So nice to see a positive story about young people. Nice going Bryan Bedwell.
