Standing start up to 4th gear. VSA was on and it shut the power off briefly to stop wheel spin.

  • I have this car, and i recently owned a Golf R32, although it was being driven by a blonde girl. Still, she seemed to be giving it as much as the Golf had, and the type r was quicker.

I have to say, i also own a celica t-sport, and on the test runs i've done, the celica is quicker than the type-r which contradicts the claimed figures.

  • @pleasureman01 Real world driving is a whole different thing matter compared to the performance figures... R32 has so much more power low down that in most cases it will outpace the TypeR unless you've got a good driver in the TypeR. But similiar cars. As for the T-Sport I'm not so sure. I've test driven it and it didn't feel anywhere near as fast as the Type R. Unfortunately I've never come across one on the street, maybe they just dont bother :)

  • ever heard of running in a engine?

  • I don't keep cars past 3 years so I don't give a shit about running in.

  • and another thing my right foot controls my wheel spin not some fucking computer. What a POS!!!

  • The traction control stops the wheels spinning for a reason.... it's called safety. Like the last two days we had a tons of snow and it allows the power to be transferred instead spinning.

I only left the traction control on because the car was brand new at the time and I didn't want to go destroying the tyres.

  • *and s2k, before some hater fills it in for me.

  • can't beat that VTEC noise.

i know we're moving into a time of incredibly smart, low capacity forced-induction stuff, but the noise of integras, civics, accords and ofc the NSX will ring loudly in my mind forever <3 nice vid

Tires is American English. Tyres is British English and in pretty much the rest of the world.

    Stick 'Tyres' in wikipedia.

Same a 'colour' is spelt 'color' in the US etc.

  • Car has only 246 km(or miles) and you are killing it? :O

  • @2007TypeR "tires" lol just saying ; )

  • nice shifting

  • yeah the whole running in thing is a myth; im a mechanic and i used to work pre delivery and we would thrash cars with less than 100kms on the clock; running an engine in is just a waste of time
