Changing the orientation of the body during the rope climb allows Chameleons to challenge the biceps and lats from a completely different angle. Due to the risk factor, this rope climb variation should only be performed by relatively advanced athletes capable of effortlessly performing standard rope climbs with no legs. Even then, only climb as high as you are completely confident; failure on this movement will be more than a little unpleasant!?! Initially when learning this movement, only perform the ascent inverted; once you have reached your desired height, allow the legs to drop and descend with the body upright. After you become proficient at the inverted ascent, you may begin adding portions of the inverted descent.

The GB program details and Xtreme Rings which developed much of this athlete's strength are available here:

  • spiderman!

  • This is easier than just useing your arms because your not useing you arms. Your rocking your body back in forth to move upward. Still looks cool though.

  • tht looks like fun!! it looks kinda easier than just using your arms.. is it easier?
