@angus2021 They are still aorund cause they don't just simply die. But we have a better life expectancy and reproductive potential than them which is why homo sapiens eventually became a species separate from chimpanzees and such. We once were chimps, but we were 'fitter' and survived to pass on the genes that made us so. By we, I mean the species homo sapiens or human being.
