@aeriellefreak hitting an animal is not the right answer. I suspect the dog was irritated because it didn't like the video camera.

@aeriellefreak How offensive to state that this is a bad owner! It never ceases to amaze me that control freaks who bully, dominate and obliterate their animal's personality consider theirselves good owners. This dog does not think he owns the sofa or he'd bite when the owner sat down. This is a dog's way of saying "I'm willing to protect our territory" while observing pack boundaries. My chi used to do this, but as soon as she was told to get down she would - without spanking.

@aeriellefreak There are other ways to prove you're boss that doesn't involve spanking your animal. I won't preach on animal abuse because that's obviously not where you were going. I got my dog trained with a trainer at 9 years old. He used to attack people who came to the door and bark constantly, along with a few other problems. Now he just gets excited in a good way when someone comes over, then goes back to bed. lol

Sorry to say this but you are a bad owner, you should spank your animal atleast once to let him know that you are the boss, this pet thinks he own the couch and barks at YOU for trying to touch him. Next time don't let your pet treat YOU AS A PET. Make it know that you are the Leader. Your chihuahua is acting dominant.
