Okay, education time. Mad World was never suppose to be a fuckin metal song. While not TOO bad, it's still nothing compared to the cover done by Gary Jules. Yeah, that's right, Gary Jules covered this song, which is why this post is educational. Gary Jules released his cover around 1998, which is why you little kids think it's the original. Tears for Fears released the original version of Mad World in 1986. Remember, knowledge can keep you from sounding like a fuckin retard.

I'm the kind of guy who doesn't like slow sad soft songs, I'm more of the fast, upbeat kind of person when it comes to music, but i still apprecaite Tears for Fears original version, but I also belive anyone can cover a song if they feel like. Evergreen Terrace did a good job at that I think, they showed the more angrier side of this song while Tears for Fears and Gary Jules showed the sad depressing side. Art is Art no matter how u depict it.

Im sorry...but no... this had a chance...but the screamo ruined it..typically does....besides there some songs that r just more powerful slow....its like making bother by stone sour or snuff by slipknot heavy...message isnt the same...the meaning is not just a pure with it heavier. Dont get me wrong...i love the heavy stuff but every once in awhile when a slow song is hit perfect....its just...perfect. Gary Jules from donnie darko is the best by far. Original will always be the best cuz of that
