  • It is counterintuitive to claim that it is necessary to find a balance between liberty and security. A constitutional government’s purpose is to preserve the freedom of the people, not to keep them safe. Considering that you cosponsored HR 450 The Enumerated Powers Act, this most disappointing vote is a clear example of doublethink. I challenge you, sir, to examine this so-called Patriot Act while looking through the lens of Constitutionality. This treasonous Act must be opposed.

  • The PATRIOT Act is completely unconstitutional and needs to be repealed. It doesn't just give "flexibility" to the intelligence community, it empowers the government to completely disregard our God-given rights.

For clarification, please listen to what Judge Andrew Napolitano has to say about this act and how it violates the Constitution that you swore to God you would preserve.
