I captured this video today of Lake Pontchartrain here in the New Orleans area. Hurricane Ike is heading towards Texas and as it makes it path across the Gulf of Mexico it is causing high winds and white cap waves on the normally peaceful Lake here in the New Orleans area. This is the lake that flooded this area during hurricane Katrina. But this time we are protected. Thank God! I wish the best to all the people in Texas. We are here for you to help with all you need. Charles

  • Charles, I just posted a video from The West Bank, from this morning 12Sep08. I drove to Hammond yesterday and seen the waves, especially by the Bonnet Carre Spillway and felt the winds from Gustav and Ike. Both about the same intensity. Good luck, actorcop1971

  • were their any bigger waves? :) im the first to comment
