Yea, I hope he can recover from it. I don't know if he can to a point where he can ever race again, but it would be so cool to see him do exactly that one day.

Back then, I always thought he was a young driver who wasted his career away doing drugs and didn't really think he should be in USAC, of course I was only a kid when he got banned from NASCAR. But ever since he got paralyzed in that qualifying wreck, I've looked at him from a different perspective. After watching this video, I have a ton of respect for this guy now. It's incredible how he never gives up and is able to recover from being paralyzed so quick. I hope he fully recovers from it.
