Damn, this drummer is a flat out hit.... I had this album right away, but only notice drum track now 38 yrs on? Anyway was this still Kash Waddy before he followed bootsy over to, was it Parliament already? It gets to where you're just waiting for him to put that press roll in again - and its like Gaylord Birch roll - it acecelrates..later and later, but he still lands it. It is weird that funk didn't get 6 mos more exposure - after which disco could not have topped it

I remember, back in the day, when The Minister of New New Super Heavy Funk's Army of Soul Generals felt like getting down, they did just that. No rap, no talk, just all funky rhythm walk.
