Actually, the video is more about politics than about literature. Do not try to say a Russian SOlzhenitsyn is a "writer". He is a politician. Dissident stuff is praised in the west, but it is not what Russians actually read, quote, and like. Any line by Ilf and Petrov is known to more Russians than the whole bibliography of any dissident.
Good background into this interesting subject. There are a few, small problematic details though. At 2:46, it shows an emblem of the Fourth Internationale with Trotsky as hero. During the 1930's (and beyond), Trotsky was vilified in the Soviet Union and elsewhere as a factionalist and an enemy of the revolution. A mention of the only well-known Russian Futurist, Mayakovsky, would also make this video more info-laden since he is an example of the work-poet espoused by the Bolsheviks.
