I do believe in waiting until after marriage for sex. However, it is false that the bible is "plain about this fact." In actual FACT, the bible does not in ONE SINGLE VERSE say that premarital sex is a sin, other than in the case of rape. There are verses about marriage, sex in marriage, adultury, but NEVER the sex of an unmarried person.

Everyone is entitled to have a personal opinion over the matter. I respect other people's opinion, but I also expect them to do the same. I'm in no position to preach about pre-marital sex, but like I said, I personally truly believe that sex is meant to be preserved until after the marriage. Scriptures are very plain about the matter, pre-marital sex is an abomination in sight of God. I think that if a marriage fails just because of bad sex there was no true affection and love to begin with.

Ok, with the divorce rates nowadays, what would happen if you got into one yourself? All that time saving yourself would be WASTED. What are you going to do then? Wait until you get married again to only get in another divorce? This isn't the way to enjoy life. There is nothing wrong with premarital sex, your virginity isn't as sacred as you'd like to think, I have a great life and have already given my v-card to my girlfriend and her's as well and its just as 'sacred' as if we were married.

I think there ought to be more people who think that pre-marital sex is an abomination in the sight of God! The Scriptures are very plain about this fact. People need a better understanding to know that saving yourself for marriage is actually guaranteeing you to be happier in the long run. Intimacy is sacred and should be honored. That is the way God intended it. And between a man and a wife, lawfully wed.

The only thing that is not litteral in the bible is prophetic dreams and visions which are either explained by angels or other creations of God or are left unexplained. It is when we interpret things that we may indeed misinterpret. Therefore we must either take the bible literal or pray and meditate for understanding, then we will never send the wrong message.
