On30 D&RGW K-37 test run on future layout plan.

This is a vid shot at my house testing my On30 D&RGW K-37 locomotive. The loop its running on is the design of the layout that will eventually be built in the garage, give or take a switch and a siding. It kind of turned into a family affair; my parents were present (they wanted to see if the 500+ $ thing would move) and my friend shot the video. I'm in the center, looking like a little kid. I gotta say I'm very happy with how things are developing, only thing left to do is build the layout...

Aaaaah, Christmas and trains! Loved it! That is a sweet Loco! The cat was cracking me up! You are right, that was a nice prototypical speed. I always run my trains at slower speeds to add realism. where did you get your K37?

I got it from a hobby store near me that happened to be a dealer for Mountain Model Imports/PSC. I'd definitely check around your area for a dealer if you're interested, for an engine like this I think its well worth the price (almost 600 bucks)
