The beginning of a new series detailing my debilitating addiction to the DVD format.

In this show: Woodstock - the very first DVD I ever bought, and The (original) Manchurian Candidate - one of all-time favorites for its mix of thrilling suspense, devastating political satire, trippy dream sequences, and, of course, origami.

Here's a link to the whole collection, just in case I don't live long enough to finish this thing: http://www.dvdaficionado.com/dvds.html?&id=russodd

  • The only thing preventing me from going hogwild on my "cinema education" is my lack of a job. Cut off the source and you'll be a starving junkie.

I'm 17 and, for the majority of my life, unemployed so...check out neuroticteen on dvdaficionado and I'll let my measly in comparison (but plentiful in quality) collection speak for itself.

    There you go...

  • You're 17, but your profile says you're 24 and your username ends in an "82"? Somebody's living a double life... ;-)

Anywho, your DVD collection definitely qualifies you for "addict" status, but at least you have really good taste.

  • I'm sort of like that, but I'm a rip-whore. Get ye olde DVD from blockbuster, rip, send back. Cheaper than buying DVDs and wholly illegal!

  • Wait a minute, your Blockbuster actually has movies in stock? I haven't had a single satisfying trip to that place since they got rid of late fees...

  • This video made me count my collection. 291. BUT I LOVE THEM!!! But your collection looks bigger than mine. Hm.. I wonder if there's a store open where I can buy more right now. Gotta go!

  • Wow, that's a lot of counting. Remember, the first step is admitting that you have a problem...then something about finding God, apologizing to people, etc. Stay strong, and remember: being on sale for 5 bucks doesn't make a lousy movie any better!
