@silos201 One of the primary chemicals that gives us the sense of satisfaction. Over years of eating fast food, a person is going to develop the need to release more dopamine in order to get the feeling of satisfaction. It's close to how some drugs work.

@Multi123User The body tends to not store chemicals that it doesn't need, it expels it. We pee and crap the things we ingest that aren't needed. The kid isn't eating because he's not getting what he needs. He's still ingesting at least the minimal amount of vitamins and minerals he needs. It has to do more with abnormalities in brain and hormone chemistry that would tell an individual that he's full. Fast food bypasses this in a sense, in that it catalyzes the release of dopamine in the brain.

@deadlystarfire Yes its probally an addiction. But you have to take into account that America allows the industry to put chemicals into our foods that isn't natural. And natuarly our bodies aren't made to handle these chemicals so it just stores it. And the only reason why your body would keep telling you that its hungry is becasue its not getting what it needs. Thus, you keep eating...

HOLD ON!!! He most likely isn't over eating becasue she is working 3 jobs, and the economy is bad, so how would he consume all that food? And you guys have to take into account on what the industrie does to our food! I mean come on, its practically fake! Most of the stuff in fast food, and packaged foods are made of processed crap, and your body isn't made to handle that crap, So your body stores it. And our world just evolves around trying to sell chemicals to "fix" the "issues" they caused...

@hempartist420 thats right because a addiction to cocain would thin this 550 pound mofo a bit

@JoFrBl food addiction is addiction, too. But it's not really for food but for the stuff that's in the food, like sugar or some stuff in modern fast food that can make you addicted if you eat too much of it, or too often.
Of course some are just gluttons with mental problems. But they'd have to go to a shrink (in both cases), too.

@anti4kids2000 i completely agree.

its funny the "addiction" is really gluttony and greed. learn some self-control and stop blaming it on something else. btw im not referring to the mother.
We don't need the government to tell people they are fat and need to hit the gym...we need people to tell themselves they are fat and hit the gym. Obesity isn't a disease, its a poor choice.
