Planet Bob is a humorous look at the world's Biodiversity problem. Combining live action, animation, and the voice talent of legendary broadcaster Hugh Downs, Planet Bob talks about what is being done to learn more about what species are endangered. Planet Bob also introduces Cybertaxonomy, a new approach to Taxonomic science, which is using nearly the same tools that were founded in the 1800's.

Awesome dude! Hey, I ran across a species, well, two, actually, some years ago...couldn't identify them; kind of annoying, like gnats or mosquitos...I looked up nonjoysheilacus hypernicus, but came up with nothing...think they'll ever by identified??? FAT CHANCE...

This is a great way to teach students about why we need a system for naming living things - something students usually find very dry and Boring. I can't wait to show this to my students. Thanks to Bob... or is it Bob - I now have a new way to get my kids thinking.
