Step 2 of 3. After the logs have been properly cleaned, prepare the stain by mixing it. Be sure to keep it mixed at all times. Apply the stain, taking two or three logs at a time. Do not stain section by section. Keep the stain wet. Let it dry for 48 hours. Caulk it. Then give it on more coat.
