  • I uploaded this but its the Jack Payne version i have loved since being a kid,when i had the 78 and it got broken.This is good but its always the Payne one for me!!

  • There was a low-budget horror movie in the 1980s - "The Lady in White", maybe - that used Bing Crosby's version of this song repeatedly. The plot was that the murderer had liked this song and had played it a lot, or something like that. The song was the best part of the film. When it ended, I was compelled to sing: "Did you ever see a cheesy movie? / Well, I did."
