If your Dyson isn't sucking, the problem is usually due to one of four reasons. In this video, Matt takes us on a tour of the DC07 and shows us the most common causes of loss of suction.

  • Why does that DC07 in your video not have a brushroll clutch?

  • @RyanSellman1 There are 15 different versions of the DC07. Some are clutched, some are not.

  • Hi, can you please make a video of changing the motor on this? thanks

  • @VacDudes Hello VacDudes. You can see Matt change the motor on a DC07 in a new video on our channel.

  • Our Dyson in a DC14 and bears no resemblance to your video to remove string from the brush bar. You cannot open the sole plate with a coin, all there is two screws with a weird screw head. They must be the key to removing the sole plate to get at the brush bar?

  • @debunker300 And there are plenty of tests on here to 'DEBUNK' your theory, one of them being the 'Oreck XL vs Dyson' test. I am however, very pleased with my Hoover Dust Manager upright, so don't envisage having to change my cleaner anytime soon, as it does a great job. And when I do decide that I need a new cleaner, my potential choices will not feature a South Korean made Dyson, or wherever they happen to be thrown together.

  • @debunker300 LMFAO, "Vacuum Envy"? Hardly fella. But as I said in my earlier post, the claim that a Dyson never loses suction, IS bullshit. Because if you have to clean the filters, it is obvious that there WILL BE a progressive and gradual loss of suction. Something that JD failed to tell customers about when marketing his product.

The only way a Dyson cleaner wouldn't lose suction, is if IT was only sucking air.

And I've seen COUNTLESS Dysons at car boot sales, which tells me they ARE crap.

  • @nomoreliblabcon so you don't have a Dyson, then? And whoever said Dyson owners don't know they need to clean their filters? I certainly do - it says so right in the user's manual. And I've owned just about every vac there is, including Hoovers....the Dyson is far superior to all of them. I've had mine for over 5 years, and it still works as well as the day I brought it home. Sounds like you have a case of vacuum envy, son. Get over it, or get a Dyson.

  • So much for Dyson's "NEVER LOSING SUCTION"

What a crock of shit from Dyson. I will stick with my Hoover. At least I know that I am supposed to clean the filters when my Hoover loses suction. Hoover never claimed that my particular model "Never Loses Suction", and it was half the price of a Dyson pile of crap, and just as good, if not better.

  • hi i can't get the post motor filter cover off, any one know how? i have the hepa version

  • @eSparesVideo thanks :D that vid helped alot my dc07 allergy works gr8
