Arno sorta sounds like a boy when you're casting a spell with him in the English version. You can hear its original voice on the official website, and that's more feminine.

Second: have you ever notice anime characters are sometimes voiced by girls (japanese)

Also note that in japanese it would not say "his master" meaning Arno's a boy, but just asking who's it's master. (No gender differentiation in some pronouns)
