7/10/07: A sampling of out of towners on Church St one evening.

Vermont is a popular summer tourist destination. Where do people come from, what do they do here and what do they think of the state?

Big draws are Lake Champlain, the shopping, the Ben and Jerry's factory and VT Teddy Bear Co. Also, many people do day trips from Canada.

Location: Church St, Burlington Vermont

  • Kto z Polski łapa w górę

  • @ValkyrieDude7070 Actually, there's some of the best weed in the country, the best skiing in the country, close to the best hiking in the country. What else do you really need?

  • @ValkyrieDude7070 Well if someone gets hurt out here they are either fucked, or they are able to make it. There is risks associated with any kind of living environment. Your more likely to be hit by a car in the city, just like you would be more likely to hit a deer or moose out here.

  • @F350With460engine but you have to admit, in a city it's a lot easier to find what you need. it's a lot better living within walking distance to a store or a hospital. what if someone out there gets hurt? how can you get them help in under 20 minutes without getting a speeding ticket?

  • @ValkyrieDude7070 So then you should see why we don't want Vermont to become like most other states. The peace and quiet of being in the middle of nowhere is much more enjoyable then a city that never sleeps.

  • @F350With460engine actually i have. i have relatives who live in the middle of nowhere and i visit them often. so im quite familiar with how it is out there. i know about life in the sticks more than you think

  • @ValkyrieDude7070 Well thats obvious that there is more people in Rhode Island. Plus you completely missed the point I made, I like having to drive miles to get to the store, I like there being nothing but woods for miles. I would take that any day over walking outside onto pavement. Bet ya ain't never even seen a back road.

  • @F350With460engine if you don't believe me, look it up. Rhode Island has more people than vermont. but that's not my point, my point is that no matter how much you hate city life, it's always better than having to drive 20 miles to the nearest grocery store. it's always better than living surrounded by nothing.

  • @ValkyrieDude7070 Thats the last thing we want is to have developement, I'd rather have a low population density then everyone living on top of eachother thats what makes Vermont great. Also, your fact about Rhode Island makes absolutely no sense. I hate city life and thats the last thing I'd ever want to see in vermont.

  • I like it, you seem educated, liberal and understand life in Vermont. I live in New Hampshire. I need to get the fuck out. People have forgotten how to live here.
