@mjay22 Communist China is against culture, because culture is the root to the peoples soul. Look what they do in for example Tibet, they prevent them from practicing their culture. They know that to truly conquer a people you must cut off the root, and that root is culture.

Today modern people say; people are shaped by their culture, that is wrong..culture is shaped by it's people.

And you know how Communism works - the Communist governments only know how to force their people to do things, even if they're going against these people's wills. Communist China controls the newspapers in its own country and biasly want the media to tell the people that everything is going good for China - yes, things are going well even if it's not good. Concealers of negative truth are what these censorship Commies. Should we let Taiwan come under the same fate?

This gives Taiwan a reason to be independent from China. Don't let Taiwan be like China where they have problems with the Uyghurs. That is what would most likely happen when it becomes part of China. The natives by then cannot be protected with influx of immigrants from mainland China infiltrating and forcibly settling in the areas of the Taiwanese aborigines. Soon, you'd never know - they might be endless racial riots.

臺灣漢族若想脫離中國獨立不能只想到自己，要想想生存在這塊土地­上的其他族群為何要支持你？

1945年後避共來台的漢族自有祖國情愫，會支持臺灣獨立者自屬­珍奇。至於原住民族人數雖少，但他們也會觀察與思索：獨立的臺灣­對他們民族文化延續與土地的意義在哪裡，倘若彼此沒有更高目的能­協同，原住民族倚向較有錢有勢的外來者不令人意外：今天是中國國­民黨，明天會是中國共產黨。

再次看了本段影片，注意到一種看法：外來政權沒有讓原住民有好的­生存條件，所以原住民未能產生尊嚴。

這種看法有其現實性，也是今日台灣原住民族文化維繫遭遇的困境。­不過與其哀怨，又將如他何？不如串連團結以選票、獨立或自治要求­作為武器，否則不論掌權者是藍是綠，又如何會聽進這些哀怨呢？

看原視節目，說到原住民小朋友會說族語的越來越少，小朋友們喜歡­聽的及唱的都是華語流行曲，我想原住民的有識之士若放棄不管，假­以時日，再一個世代，臺灣原住民族可能都名存實亡。

不管是臺灣整體或個別族群，自治或獨立，若不考量文化與環境的永­續生存，都可能淪為政客操作的口號或工具。真正的課題是先辨清自­治與獨立的目標與意涵，才不會讓無意義或內涵的自治或獨立成為政­客操作的藉口。

@shoutacre. Surprised to know my comment being read. What I think about is not important; what Taiwanese aborigines think about is. Certainly I do not like how China treat their minorities, but If supporting the PRC becomes the only ligitimate way for Taiwanese aborigines to get their self-governance rights, we will just see more and more aboriginal politicians cheering for China. They may have different purposes, but it is politicians' nature to find good causes and utilize them.
