Fred Hassen is seen here with 16 month old "Nash" (Belgian Malinois), showing the beginning transition changes of 'Sit', 'Down' and 'Stand'. The 'Stand' command is also used in the retrieving world as 'Whoa', but the concepts are the same. This is only the beginnings, and I will shoot it again soon when he is doing it off a ruler, and you will be able to see the difference. Just the beginning with a bigger target.

  • i have an 8 and a half german shepherd, and i taught him sit, down, and stay, but he doesnt do the commands when i say them it takes him time to go into a sit after i say sit. why do you think is that? oh and btw Nash is best looking belgian mal i have ever seen :)

  • Nice vid..I have an 8 month Female Belgian Malinois, when I take her to the park she barks allot to other dogs and tends to get a little agressive. I really want to teach her to be more calm, any suggestions?? I know this breed tends to be very territorial and protective, but I really want her to be more playfull.

  • Wonderful! I'm definitely using an object/platform for stay training now.
