From the Scottish band "Beggar's Opera" and their superb first album "Act One", released in 1971. Lots of fascinating interplays between melodic passages and frantic sections in this version of Franz von Suppé's classical composition, played with rock instruments.
used to watch them in the Burns Howff pub in Glasgow many years a go..they always got standing ovations after every number..
