Brand new attraction at Universal Studio Japan, Osaka is digested in 3D anaglyph. Shot by using home made stereoscopic rig with DOF adapter in front of HC3 HDV video cameras. Canon FD SLR lenses (50mm/F1.4), and Canon Ee-A focusing screen were used.

Moving floats was the difficult subjects for manually focus DOF video and and causes Severe abbration (astigmatismic ?) might be caused by full aperture for high contrast of LED illumination.

  • Very good anaglyph 3D, for the most part. There are issues of ghosting and eye strain moments of having the parallax too wide, but on the whole, it is an enjoyable view. Some scenes are excellent in depth, while others are distorted due to the ghosting. Good conversion though.

  • Who says that anaglyph 3D isn't holding its own place in the advent of stereo photography? This video is nine and a half minutes worth of delightful brilliance in the genre of 3D!!! Sure, there is a little 'ghosting' of the images...but overall, the entire light show parade is INCREDIBLE!!!

    I can't wait to see the future of anaglyph! I have two anaglyph slideshow videos here, on YouTube... but I am trying to constantly improve my techniques!!!
