  • I am not a brit.

I am not even from british blood.

But i will give it for that majestic island across the north sea.

Your grandfathers fought valiantly to liberate us .

    I will never forget.

And if needed fight for your liberation aswell know that tough an isle you stand not alone in europe.

  • This my favourite bit of Rememberance Day. Everytime I sit down and watch/listen to this it makes me cry as I remember those who have given their lives for our little island over the years! May they live in everlasting peace in Heaven where they belong!

And when he gets to Heaven

To Saint Peter he will tell

    One more soldier reporting Sir

I have served my time in Hell

  • Now is the time we are under threat again, this time from the EU. Say no the a European super-state!

  • When the music reaches a crescendo and the camera pulls away to reveal 'The Glorious Dead', it always brings a lump to my throat.

  • So sad, i cry everytime i hear this........What a Great Country we are fortunate to live in thanks to those brave men & women

  • Such a moveing peice, and as some one else said "never fail to bring a tear"

  • @ReinBijlsma I don't blame you, sorry if it sounded that way. Blame your country . I had 7 greatuncles in the great war. It's because of these men that we are now in a free world. Thank God we didn't had to count on Holland for that. But you are right, you can't help it, it's history now.....

  • @TheErikwithak Ehm.. sorry for that, but why blame me? Where were you in 1914?

  • @ReinBijlsma where was Holland in 1914? Hate it whenever I am at the last post ceremony at the Menin Gate and Dutch army officials are also standing under it. Where were you in 1914. Can't help it , but I will always say this to them.
