  • Thank you for your comment Eric, I agree with everything that you've mentioned. The pianist's name is Brian Benedict and I should of include him as well!! Very important lesson although never told him that I put this video on youtube.. That was all very spontaneous, for fun and didn't expect even comments from anyone but I progressed since then (i hope)..

    Best wishes,

    Magda

  • @pslogge You're absolutely right. Wonderful voice, I come from hearing her Bach,,,but this sounded like it was banged out at the end of a long week. I felt...nowt. And it's one of my faves, worra shame :/

  • that was nice, but a little bit of reverie, s' il vous plait!

  • Hello! Excellent work! You were fantastic.

I heard a recording of this in college, and just loved it. You captured it perfectly, and I'll bet you've heard the same recording I did. Tell the pianist their part was exquisite.

If you like, I could email you the recording I heard.

BTW, I've had the honor of singing "I am the very model of a modern major general." Check it out if you like.

    :]

  • A lovely mélodie by Francis Poulenc. It is a pity that the pianist should not be mentioned here. It is disrespectful not to mention him or her. What if the pianist is only mentioned without the singer's name? And as Zeguitarman already stated: 'Je ne veux pas travailler" should be done more slowly and clearly and in my opinion the same goes for: 'Je veux fumer' .. with a clear distinction between [v] in 'veux' en [f] in 'fumer'. But a nice voice ;-)

  • Excellent!!!!! WOW!!! I loved it!!! The talent born with you! Well done!

  • bravo ! if i can say one thing : "je ne veux pas travailler" is a little too speed, maybe it may be sung relax, cause of the intention of all the text and especially this particularly this sentence "je ne veux pas travailler " wich means "i do not want to work" he is relax in his hotel room smokin some cigarette or something else :) and he does not definetely not want to work .. he is so relax ... but bravo ***** i love the tune and find it in youtube is great .
