Biomedical researchers are looking for better ways to heal chronic wounds and burns. Currently, specialists at burn centers use skin grafting to heal serious burns. But that technology is decades old and often means a lengthy, painful healing process for victims. Researchers are investigating ways to 'grow' new skin in hopes that healing can be quicker, safer and more complete.
