Valleys of Valhalla is a song which is from the album "Pauper In Paradise" which was released in 1977. It can be purchased by visiting GINOV.COM

Lyrics

Take me to heaven
On this cold Norwegian night
My skin is unleaven
Untouched and so unsanctified
Feel the flame that burns my pagan soul

This sacred ingression
Is a sooth-said rhapsody
This carnal connection
Ignites my flesh with fantasy

A holocaust of love is rising now
Feel the fire
You inspire
Mesmerizer
Take me to the valleys of Valhalla

A holocaust of love is rising now
Feel the fire
You inspire
Mesmerizer
Take me to the valleys of Valhalla

  • Mary, as big a fan as you are of Gino, it is really a shame you didn't see him when he first came out and played the music from his first 3 albums. The concerts were so magical they are still talked about today and he did those concerts with the full band and covered everything you heard just like on the record but it was loud and live to being able to hear a pin drop. Even Gino was amazed at what was happening!

Oh I know, I know they are magical memories, I couldn't get tickets back then..Thank you so very much for the comment..Did you know that he has a concert coming up on July 30th in Atlantic City with John Secada? Also there is a cruise in December sailing out of Ft Lauderdale , there will be 3 shows and other fun things going on for the fans,.I can't wait to go..I have been lucky enough to go to 7 concerts in the last three years...Best times of my life !!!! Have a wonderful day !

  • Vikings who die with honor in battle believed they would go to Valhalla .

Kinda has new meaning now huh ?.........he is so cool .

  • Yeah, I read up on Valhalla last year, it's really interesting....He thinks of everything.....That's why we love and admire him so much, his soul runs very deep. Did you get to order "Stardust In The Sand" yet....IT'S WONDERFUL !!!!!

  • This was always one of my fav Gino songs, Thanks for posting it, I got to see him in 77 and he was fantastic. Will never forget it.

  • Sexy and sweetly romantic at the same time - he is not only musically gifted but sooo very handsome! And has a voice like velvet...

    Thank you, Mary!!!

  • @blueeyesol -- you are right on when you say his concerts on the first three albums ... i could type a book (sigh)

  • One of my favorite albums of Gino and don't forget his Brothers Joe and Ross.

  • FEEL FIRE, DO INSPIRE

  • Could someone please upload a video of Gino performing this classic song? There has got to be one out there somewhere! I would pay for it. I did see him in concert singing this it was so awesome I want to see it again! It should be etched in history!

  • I dug this from the moment i heard it back in the day. He'll always be one of my favorites. He has so many nice grooves with great lyrics. Sing on, play on Gino...

  • I can only go see him when he comes close to New Orleans. His 1st show here was in The Warehouse, great Rock place, but not for Gino's class and it was a decent turnout just cause people would go there for anybody, he did this after the Crazy Life album. Then Powerful People came out and we all waited, no Gino show, then Storm at Sunup just came out and he came to the Municipal Auditorium, and it was 'THE' magic show that spread the word across the world about his magic and the rest is history!
