Gun Defence

Total body defence Goshinkwai instructors have had the privilege of training some of the worlds most elite forces in un armed combat and close quarter defence from weapons.
Including American, Korean and our own UK forces. The short clip from the totalbodydefence DVD contains some close quarter techniques against a handgun. The short clip in particular shows how to disarm at close quarters a man in a Weaver stance. It almost looks too easy like a trick, but it's speed is real and it's leverage instant.

all very well in training but when your hearts pounding and your froze with shock, how do you know the gun man isn't as scared with a twitchy finger, my advice hand over your goods then counter strike if it seems logical, but what do i know iv not had a gun point blank at me, but ive been shot at

@kravmagakapap This is very true. I currently am in an advanced only "Street Defense" class (In Santos, SP) Brazil, and basically the first hour of class is "learning and practicing" new moves slow the way they are "set up" to be.

The next hour is "Attack me as hard as you can and rob, then murder me in any way you want" That is what makes me confortable without a gun on the street.

Try going with airsoft or something. The trigger pull of a paintball gun is very light compared to that of a real firearm. And make sure you're OUT OF THE LINE OF FIRE.

@tr3vis123 First thing u do in this technique is leaving the line of fire. In the Video you can't see it quite well, but in a blink he moves out and THEN does the technique.
