Carus is the name of a really cute road in Beavercreek, a hamlet near Oregon City, Oregon. This studio version will be one of the songs on Ma, 1997's first album, but will more than likely have a bass track added and then be mastered. Until then, this is Carus.
Ma, 1997 on "Carus":
Guitars, percussion, programming (drums) - Hakeem Hashash
Song information: The song consists of five guitar tracks, two of which being double takes of another guitar line, and one is the sustained guitar, created by using an Ebow. The guitar was run through a Fender Deluxe Twin Reverb and also recorded direct in. The drum track was inspired by Mogwai's "Acid Food" from their album Mr. Beast. I recorded a toy keyboard's kick and snare and ran them through a ring modulator and overdrive, among other things. I recorded the song with a Fender Standard Telecaster in Dmin (capo on 2nd fret for the most part) into Mixcraft 5, where I used Guitar Rig 4 and other plugins.
Video information: The painting you're seeing is Eichen am Meer (Oaks by the seaside) by Carl Gustav Carus. It was made before 1870 and is in the public domain. To achieve more of the intended effect, watch this in 720p, which will give you close to the 320kbps it was rendered in. 360p isn't even in stereo, and 480p doesn't do it justice. Thanks for your time and please let me know what you think!
Thank you, everyone, for listening, watching and liking! I sincerely appreciate it.
