  • sorry, but it`s Ian"the voice" Gillan`s song

  • I seriously urge you to actually listen to some of Joe Lynn´s solo material and then make your judgement on him as a singer and especially as a songwriter. He ain´t the best business man but he sure knows how to write some killer tunes and especially he sure knows how to sing.

  • ...remember that Doritos commerical where the chick is catching flying Doritos in her mouth? In the background you can hear a terrible version of smoke on the water playing...that's Joe singing. Joe Lynn can sing but he is tool and as far as him writing more songs than purple? not in a million years. Him singing this song is a frickin' joke.

  • I think he sang it well. Just poor audio

  • shite

  • I remember an interview he did just after Slaves & Masters came out and he told Blackmore that he would join Purple if it wasn't just to sing somebody else's drivel and since then that's mainly what he's doing.

  • Joe Lynn Turner es uno de los mejores cantantes que hay, otra cosa es que este video se escuche como el culo

  • You Fucking haters don't like Joe Lynn Turner don;t watch the video. He has written more songs on his own than all of Deep Purple put together.

  • Apart from the few 2002 performances (which was less than good), 'Child In Time' hasn't been played since the US & Asian leg of 'The Battle Rages On' tour in 1995, w. Steve, but they continued to draw crowds that enjoyed themself a lot without it in the set. Tons of other classics, even though I would love to hear it again, I know Ian can't hit those notes, and I would walk away dissapointed if not, so it's in a way better off without it in the set. I would love them to ressurect 'Fools' again.

  • well.. Ian strugles with high notes (perhaps due to his age), and remind me again, what was it that made old Ian extra special ? . I don't think he's 30 anymore, but I wanted you to realize that there's a big difference in saying "he's a good singer" and "he's a good singer for his OLD AGE"... But it's fine that you don't agree. It's pointless to discuss this further.. I would really like Ian to be as good as you say. Then I'd attend the concerts. And btw, Child in Time is a very popular song.
