  • What I don't get about this game is how the entire 2nd half is at night. But seeing 1995 Penn State at Northwestern on Big Ten's Greatest Games, there was still some daylight until the end of the third quarter.

Both games were played at 3:30 on November 4th after the clocks had been set back to standard time. Did this game just have way more commercials and time outs than the '95 one or something.

  • If I recall correctly, the game approached 4.5 hours and the slow pace of the clock didn't just happen in the 2nd half. It was a long one.

  • is this the original b'cast?

  • Yeah, this is the original broadcast.

  • I was watching this game on the TV at NMQ. things got downright stupid after the fumble at the end!

  • wow want to talk about balance kustok over 300 yd passing and anderson over 250 yd running

  • i was at this game, i hate the sound of that damn wildcat. really dissapointed in the outcome but the next time i made the trip in 04 we got the better of you

  • It's not crazy to say this IS the greatest college football game ever played. True, it wasn't for a championship but (i) it was a packed house and nationally televised, (ii) it had a perennial cinderella against a perennial power, (iii) the emotional and scoreboard swings were endless, (iv) there was a twist at the end when you were sure Michigan had won after Damien's drop, and (v) the game changed college football by launching the spread offense. Oh, and the final score was 54-51!

  • As a Florida Gator born and bred fan---This was one of the best games I remember EVER seeing. GREAT GAME! I love Damian Anderson.

  • @Knightmessenger Yeah, NUBears is right. This game was INSANELY long. There was so much scoring that they kept going to commercial breaks and it just extended the game. I was watching this game in my dorm at Ohio State and it basically echoed through the hallways. We were all just so entertained by it because it was like playing NCAA on the Playstation.
