  • I'm going to be certified for this piece for National Piano Guild in May. I'm self taught and this video is just what I was looking for. I sure wish this guy was my piano teacher.

    Thanks a lot. :-)

  • @rxboy

Thank you, happy if useful for your studies.

  • WOAH for a practices it sounds great :D

  • @Vesivian

    Thank you!!

  • You've cheered me up no end. A piece I have never dreamed I could begin to learn is suddenly waiting to be challenged! Many thanks.

I think when you play your lovely faithful piano it becomes alive.

    Again, many thanks.

  • I feel that your video has been a valuable lesson for me, and I can see ways of applying the concepts which you have presented to not only the practice of this piece, but to other pieces as well. Thank you very much for generously offering your wisdom and experience!

  • This has been very helpful for me. I use these scale techniques to improve my accuracy. Thank you again for dedicating the time to go over this.

  • @kazjooster

thank you for attention and commenting.

There are different techniques to approach keys....and consider also I have

little hands, and with "neutral position" I obtain very poor sound.

  • Ok I'm afriad I have to disagree with all of this. I've studied and performed this piece at my college of music in London and firstly your technique about the 5-1 on the same key is correct as it's the only fingering you can use but your hand technique is wrong, it should be a swift flick from 5-1 up the hand kept in a neutral position to create a smooth transition in order for the semiquaver passages to flow evenly. What your doing is moving your hands side to side very awkwardly.

I think yopu are right 100%. Sometimes I practise for 2-3 days without pedal. Fundamental, especially if you play with tons of pedal (as I do).
