I liked the film but the ending was terrible. Not because I don't like movies without happy endings, simply because it was poorly done. Tentacle hair had me rolling my eyes as well.

@Number1ChoChangFan I will have to check that out. A good American film for everyone is the Original 1960s "The Haunting"; not the newer one. It's in black and white and that old house is spooky as hell. Its a great story to watch with the lights out with maybe a candle. The sound effects are intense. For those of you who have less than perfect English; don't worry;...you'll know what's going on.

@zenjim007 Yes, I totally agree with you!!!! My favorite horror movie of all time is "The Locker Shibuya Kaidan", and I have only recently realised that the reason I love it so much is because it is scary without gore.

For the main pert of this movie, I liked it, but it actually didn't scare me. But right near the end, when the three girls get killed and she tries to grab the thing in the closet, I was freaking out, but the ending did kill the movie for me.

Impressive ghost story! American movie makers should take serious note; you don't need tons of blood and gore to try and confiscate for lousy story telling. There was a great story here with an unpredictable ending and great acting too. Also this movie showed you don't need a huge budget. Good directing and excellent script as well; I'll be watching more horror thriller Japanese films in the future! Great job on subtitles as well; thanks for the upload!
