Um, derr, for decades. The CIA trained and backed Osama Bin Laden. Put in place Sadaam. Religiously Intolerant? Homophobic? Sounds like Christianity to me. Every religion has it's extremest, political figureheads, and freedom squashing ambitions if it is called a religion.
