Thanks for the review. It covered everything I wanted to know about this figure, and helped convince me it was worth getting. I don't think having knowledge about the anime it comes from is particularly necessary. In the end I just want to know about the figure itself, what features it has and how they work. How the tie back and reference the fiction is not really important, to me anyway. Keep up the great reviews!

man the toy is cool i played him in SRW a3 at first he sucked in the game because he only had 2 attacks until later he learns more attacks and he kicks the anemys but with the beam cannon.

Back in the early 1980s my local hobby import dude would occasionally stock the clunky little unpainted plastic Aoshima model kits for Ideon, in wacky scales like 1/600, 1/810, etc.
I'm just imagining if someone had shown us THIS exquisite SOC masterpiece back then ... told us we'd be able to buy this beast in a quarter century or so ... damn.
