Nebraska scores a touchdown on their very first offensive play against the Colorado Buffaloes. Nebraska QB Gerry Gdowski throws a nifty screen pass to fullback Bryan Carpenter who does the rest. Great down field blocking by WR Morgan Gregory! Go Big Red!

  • @KINGCON54 Hi Jake, I believe you. Your uncle had a fantastic Senior season as the Huskers QB in 1989. That team came sooo close to playing ND for the National Championship that year.

  • Need I remind you that the inbred fatass white trash Huskers lost that game? Maybe they would have had a better showing if they didn't have ears of corn shoved so far up their asses that it came out of their mouths

  • I really think Gerry Gdowski was at least as good at Qb as Turner Gill. I think the team would have been better if he had started for 3 years instead of Steve Taylor.

  • Bryan Carpenter was blazing fast. Ran under 4.3 as a Full-back. And his 10 yard dash time was the best on the team. This was a great play. Sadly, we lost the game though that year.

  • @KINGCON54 GI rocks! :-)

  • Colorado won this game

    Go Buffs!

  • Hey that Nebraska team was pretty damm good, that Florida State team was just buzzsaw. They were the hottest team at the end of the 1989 season, plus they started 0-2 and won 10 straight.

  • Nebraska went 10-2 during the 1989 season. However, they got hammered by Florida State in the Fiesta Bowl 41-17.
