For some reason I hate M16 or Mini 14 style sights. I shoot wayyy better using the standard sights. I don't understand the benifit with the peep style sight.

thx a lot for the advice, I'll put it to use
as far as the stoppages go with the tapco mags, I bet that a few minor jams out of a few hundred rounds is about as good as it gets but I'll give that strikehold a try and see if there is some improvement.
btw your vids are very informative and have been the basis for much of my gun care and maintainance. thanks for that too

@silver760 maybe on the chinese norinco. but wolf brand is russian. and its just as lousy. for fouling and starting fires from the steel core.

@ (Iraqveteran8888) Love the videos, but I just want to understand the purpose of this one here, as far as the ammo functioning I got that part, but dont you think to measure the groups you were shooting you should have used a bench locking the rifle in place?You cannot really give a accurate measurement of your groups cause your rifle is not locked down.As far as the Russian ammo shooting thru there, its all about the same anyway, the steel core Norinco ammo is good, probably better than Wolf.

@CJsAmmo This is very initial testing. I have more video planned with the SKS to include more formal and extensive ammo testing. Thanks for the critique.

I thought the ATF had banned the 7.62x39 steel cored chinese ammo as people were building AK pistols,which changed the round from a rifle to a pistol round and they seemed the steel cored as armour piercing and banned its importation creating loads of protests.
