Marty ! im checking out all your videos now one by one, the videos containing usefull information for the electric guitar and blues, pentatonic vids any of them, and so far this one was pretty interesting ! ive been practicing the major ladders but this is my 1st minor pentatonic. Sounds amazing! blues is tha best and so are you dude!

@bauner123 Essentially yes you are correct. If you are just playing the box figure of a pentatonic scale then moving the minor scale down 3 frets will result in you being able to play the major scale of that same key using the minor box shape.

marty.. isnt it true that you can just take a minor pentatonic scale and move it down 3 frets and play it the exact same way and you have a major pentatonic scale in the same key?

marty why are minor pentatonic and major pentatonic more popular than major and natural minor?? is it just cause its 5 notes instead of 7 making it easier to play?

think of it as the pentatonic are the strongest notes while the other two work great as added color. I use em all man
