Spider on unicycle, 3D Animation

It was my entry for the Blender Foundation Suzanne Awards 2005. I had not much time, so I tried a minimalistic approach. Looks like it did the trick.

I admit that Cycles is not the big hit. But when they showed it at the blender conference in Amsterdam, the crowd was pleased and I got even scene applause. Depends on the mood.

Learn Blender and start to use it. It's worth it.

Mein gelungener Versuch, einen Suzanne Award der Blender Foundation zu gewinnen. Ich hatte nur 4 halbe Tage Zeit, deshalb mußte ich so ökonomisch wie möglich arbeiten. Letztendlich hab' ich sogar Szenenapplaus bekommen, obwohl ich nicht geglaubt hatte, auch nur eine Chance zu haben.

Blender ist wirklich spitze und die Community rund um die Software genauso.

Mein Rat: Lernt Blender und nutzt es!

Für alle, die in Kassel leben, biete ich ein interessantes 3D-Projekt

Funny and well-made animation. :) The wheel at the end looks a bit like it stops in mid-air, I would think it looks more natural with constant sideways motion, possibly reducing the speed just a bit at every bounce.

I miss seeing the spider when the balls are thrown out of the hole. How about seeing the spider wipe his forehead afterwards? Or one of the balls getting stuck, with the spider trying to push it out?
