EMD Millipore certainly created a stir at Interphex 2011 in New York City. As a lead in to their customer event on Wednesday evening, they had the customers meet their sales people in front of the main entrance to the exhibit hall. As customers were gathering a flash mob suddenly broke out and seeming passers by started into a choreographed dance number. Not only were the EMD Millipore customers surprised, all of the conference goers in the area stopped for the show. From the crowd cameras and cell phones were pointed at the dancers as they removed their sweatshirts and jackets to reveal the new EMD Millipore logo in multiple colors swirling and moving around the space. Then, as the dancing slowed, the dancers slowly re-donned their jackets and quietly left the space as the crowd applauded wildly. Not your usual trade show scene!
