A slideshow I made using pictures from the movie The Road (copyright Dimension Films, etc. and Cormac McCarthy, etc.)
The song is the original version of Editor's No Sound But The Wind (copyright Editors, Kitchenware Records, etc.) performed at Rock Werchter 2010.

I own NOTHING!!! All images and sounds belong to their respective artists as stated above.

PS- I'm sorry for the odd cheers/whistles/etc. in the background. Since the only version of this song I found was live, there are a few crowd noises. Not much, though.
Also, this version of the song is the original version, and Tom Smith (composer & singer) was directly inspired by the novel The Road to write this song. Which in turn inspired me to make this video. :)

  • So I just discovered that this video now has over 10,000 views. Thank you all! So much love.

  • This song is literally so perfect for the book...

  • @juicyjon611 I know! Actually, the singer composed this after reading the book. :)

  • I just recently saw this film for a Film and Lit class...it was so moving that I felt guilty for eating for a few days after.

  • @MononokeLynn I felt the same way!

I knew I just had to make something as a tribute. It was so incredible.

Have you read the book? It's on the top of my reading list.

  • @EccentricElf23 I made it to the part where the Father finds the can of soda pop and offers it to the son. I kept the book instead of selling it back because I want to read the whole thing.

  • @MononokeLynn I just got a Barnes & Noble gift card for Christmas and I'm buying that book first!

  • @omor33 sounds sweet, but... Did you break your caps button?

  • I WATCHED THIS MOVIE WITH MY SON , BUT HALF THROUGHT IT MY SON COULD NOT GO ONE WATCHING,. HE WAS 9 1/2 AT THE TIME BUT FROM WHAT HE HAS LEARDED IN CHURCH AND WORLD EVENTS.

HE SAID DAH, HOW FAR OFF FROM THIS HAPPENING AND I SAID SON, I FEAR THAT WE ARE NOT FAR, HE ASKED ME TO STOP THE MOVIE AND WE WENT OUT FOR A LONG WALK AND HAD QUIT AN INTERESTING TALK, WHICH MADE ME ALL THE MORE PROUD OF HIM AND OF MYSELF, FOR I HAVING HEARD HIM EXPRESS HIMSELF , I KNEW THAT HE WAS IN GODS BOSSUM FOREVER.
