Very very easy animation to do in blender, but you put it in a beautiful way - I have an obsession (or addiction) for SSS features, but the wood there - Gorgeous. How'd you get it like that? Or was there anything special done for it?

nothing special aside from ambient occlusion.
everything's straightforward. i used cubes as placeholders and baked the physics that way. i parented the alphabet blocks to the cubes so tne animations would apply. add a little materials and texture for flair, and there you have it.

How long have you been using blender? How much experience is needed to make what you've made? And how long does it take to make this particular clip? Oh, and btw, Cool video. I'm impressed! Really great

i've been using blender for six years. maybe more.
but you dont need that much experience to do this. this shot took a few hours of work to set up, if you make all that work continuous.
but it took like two hours to render.
and thanks for the input.

Hey im starting working with Blender, but i have a macbook( weak graphics card), What does this affect? Will it take forever to render? And how long does a typical render take? Thanks. (Nice vid)

rendering in blender is all based on the processor and RAM. This render uses raytracing for replections, along with ambient occlusion, plus nodes for the vector blur, so it took some time. that comes with the territory.
but as far a a graphics card is conerned, you dont need a top of the line card unless you're making a really detailed model. graphics cards only matter for mesh building and the realtime stuff. i have an integrated card in my laptop, and it runs no problem.
